Using the GitHub API

On this project, I have integrated the application with GitHub's REST API to pull information on GitHub user accounts. The application is containing a group of classmates' GitHub usernames. The GitHub API is leveraged using these usernames, to pull information for each of their accounts.
Information that are pulled from a GitHub user's account are:

  • All of their repositories (including directory structure and files contained in the repository)
  • The type of programming language used in the repository
  • Number of pull requests for a repository
  • Number of forks for a repository
  • Owner of the repository
  • Repository traffic (unique visitors and unique cloners)
  • Number of followers for the GitHub account
  • Number following by the GitHub user
